Hidden Blessings

We are about to complete our first week of classes in language acquisition. We arrived here in Colorado Springs, CO, during the wee hours of the morning Monday, and we barely had time to unpack our van before we found ourselves sitting in the classroom. After a week-long trek across the country, which was peppered with speaking engagements our attitudes and attentions lacked luster. To say we arrived here in beautiful Colorado spent, would be a gross understatement. To say that things have been easy on us as a family since arriving here, would simply be untrue. I could list the struggles our family is currently facing, but that is not what this post is about...this is about trying to find the blessings in life no matter how spent you are and no matter how difficult the circumstances.

It was my brother, who in his wisdom, advised me to look for the hidden blessing among all the transition, pain, annoyances, and difficulty in our lives. I found when I began to search, I did not have to look very far. Please enjoy a few of the ways in which the Lord has tenderly shown Himself to us as only He is able.
A promise...

Aron...our little climber found release on top this rock. His name literally means, "mountain."

The boys were amazed these deer did not head for the hills.
Marianna, these are the bones Aden wanted you to see!
So glad they have each other.

Some much needed brother-bonding time

Nothing like a little nature to set our boys' worlds right
